Serco Space Services - Europe Careers is seeking a seasoned systems engineer to support the IRIDE Ground Segment, ensuring components from PDGS to downstream services work cohesively. You will maintain requirements, interfaces, and end-to-end service descriptions, and contribute to test plans and reports.

The role combines system engineering with integration and validation testing, KPI monitoring, and collaboration with ESA and industry partners.

Competenze

• University degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in integration and validation testing within Earth Observation ground segments.
• Good knowledge of requirements management and interface definition.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Programming skills for testing tools; Linux and DB know-how (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Mansioni

• Support the IRIDE Ground Segment: ensure components work together end-to-end.
• Produce and maintain system engineering docs: requirements, interfaces, service descriptions.
• Contribute to integration/validation test plans, procedures and reports.
• Define and execute test campaigns; monitor KPIs for reliability and performance.
• Review technical docs and participate in ESA/industry meetings.
