Job summary

RS is seeking a Freight Audit and Data Analyst to support the Transportation team in driving efficiency and cost optimization across our logistics network. The role involves collecting, analysing, and interpreting transportation data and commercial offers to generate actionable insights for strategic decisions.

The candidate will benchmark carriers, translate data into recommendations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve operational performance in a hybrid setup based in Italy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Logistics, SCM, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in transportation, logistics analytics, or similar analytical roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to interpret large datasets.
• Knowledge of transportation costs, surcharges, network design, and performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization and reporting tools; SQL familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Analyse transportation performance, costs, carrier KPIs, and service metrics.
• Benchmark carriers and evaluate transportation proposals and offers.
• Translate datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders.
• Identify trends and opportunities for network optimization.
• Ensure data accuracy across transportation reporting processes.
• Support planning, forecasting, and capacity analysis.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics tools for business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and logistics providers to improve performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and strategic transportation projects.
