Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled electrical engineer to lead as the focal design authority across engineering disciplines, supporting tenders, projects and parts of projects. You will ensure that engineering solutions meet contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, while providing technical support through design, testing, installation, and commissioning.

This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Business Division and supports the EMEA region.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of MV/LV systems and design, including protection and control.
Experience with switchgear engineering in an EPC environment.
Familiar with IEC 61850 and MODBUS protocols, control software and protection relays.
Understanding data center applications including hyperscale and colocation environments.
Experience with FAT and SAT commissioning and strong safety awareness.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for engineering design, documentation, testing and commissioning.
Support local units in tender and project documentation and meetings.
Contribute to engineering proposals and planning, applying verification checklists.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements; support risk assessments.
Escalate contract, safety, quality, schedule, or cost issues to Project Managers.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Project Managers and factories to ensure solutions are manufactured and tested.
Coordinate with global teams to support correct installation and update deliverables after site activities.
Share best practices and drive continuous improvement across projects.
