DERTOUR Hotels & Resorts GmbH in Nettuno, Italy, seeks a Head of Finance to lead the resort's accounting, reporting and compliance functions and act as a strategic partner to the General Manager. You will direct budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, coordinating with Corporate Finance and local departments to optimize profitability.

The role requires strong Italian financial expertise, IFRS knowledge, and leadership experience in hospitality.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in finance, accounting or controlling, with leadership experience.
• Good IFRS knowledge and international reporting experience.
• Hospitality or service industry background is desirable.

Mansioni

• Lead accounting and finance activities of the resort.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and group accounting policies.
• Oversee payables, receivables, GL and cash management.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with auditors and authorities.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting and performance reviews.
• Develop and mentor the local finance team and partner with HQ.

Your Tasks

Financial Management, Accounting and Compliance

• Lead and manage all accounting and finance activities of the resort

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Act as key contact for Corporate Finance, ensuring compliance with IFRS reporting requirements and Group accounting policies
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and cash management processes
• Monitor banking activities, liquidity planning and working capital requirements
• Coordinate annual audits and act as the primary contact for auditors, tax consultants and authorities
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Italian legal, tax and regulatory requirements, as well as Group and divisional policies, governance standards and compliance frameworks
• Maintain effective internal controls, monitor relevant legislative developments and cooperate closely with external legal, compliance and tax advisors where required

Business Performance, Controlling & Commercial Steering

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles
• Monitor financial and operational performance through KPIs, management reports and analytical reviews
• Work closely with Headquarter departments such as Finance, Revenue Management, Commercial and Asset Management
• Monitor, analyze and steer key hospitality performance indicators (e.g. Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOP/EBITDA, Personnel Costs, F&B Costs and Ancillary Revenue Streams)
• Analyze variances against budget, forecast, prior year results and strategic targets and derive actionable recommendations
• Support investment decisions through CAPEX evaluations, feasibility studies and business case analyses
• Support department heads in cost management and profitability optimization
• Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes and financial transparency
• Prepare business reviews, financial analyses and management presentations for local management and headquarters

Leadership & Business Partnering

• Act as trusted advisor and sparring partner to the General Manager on all financial and commercial matters
• Support strategic and operational decision-making through fact-based financial insights and recommendations
• Build strong partnerships with all resort departments to ensure financial objectives are embedded in day-to-day operations
• Lead, develop and motivate the local finance team
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement
• Ensure effective collaboration with Corporate Finance and other group functions

Your Profile

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or controlling, ideally in a leadership position
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance management
• Good understanding of IFRS and international reporting standards
• Hospitality, tourism or service industry experience is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of hotel business drivers and operational performance management
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles, taxation and statutory requirements
• Good understanding of Italian business, legal and regulatory environment
• Familiarity with regional structures in Southern Italy and/or Calabria is considered as advantage

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with financial systems
• Knowledge of Dynamics, Opera PMS and other hospitality-related systems

Languages

• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian, German would be a plus
