Job summary

Entegra, part of Sodexo Group, is seeking a Head of Data in Milan to lead the data function, drive performance through market insights, and partner with Commercial, Finance and Operations to improve efficiency.

You will manage a small team of three, ensure data governance across CRM, supplier and finance systems, and collaborate on European data initiatives while shaping the data strategy for Italy.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or BI.
• Led data initiatives within a complex organization.
• Hands-on with modern data tools (Power BI, SQL, SAP, Python).
• Experience with price list / catalogue management and supplier data.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data performance with KPIs and develop client and market reporting.
• Lead and coach the data team, prioritizing workload.
• Ensure accurate data across CRM, supplier, and financial systems.
• Maintain data governance, ownership, and catalogue enrichment.
• Present insights to country leadership and executives.
• Oversee loading of negotiated price lists into client systems and optimize processes.
• Contribute to European data initiatives.

We are searching a

HEAD OF DATA

Based in Milano

Reporting to the Operations Director Italy and working closely with the country’s Commercial, Finance, Operations and Procurement teams - and with the European Data Office - this role acts as the local data lead, leveraging market data to improve business performance, enhance supplier and client visibility, and driveefficiency across operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor data performance through KPIs, ensuring quality and consistency of business reporting and develop client and market reporting
• Manage the data team (currently three people), coordinating their activities and providing guidance, coaching and workload prioritization.
• Oversee local data operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data across CRM, supplier, and financial systems.
• Ensure strong data governance, including ownership, documentation, and catalogue enrichment for key business domains.
• Present data insights and transformation progress to country leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Oversee the loading of Entegra’s negotiated price lists into clients’ systems, and drive the optimization and automation of these activities
• Contribute to European data initiatives,

Profile

• Degree in Economics, Engineering
• Approximately 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally in Food procurement, hospitality, F&B or retail data- driven environments.
• Proven track record in leading data initiatives within a complex organization;
• Hands-on experience with modern data tools (POWER BI, SQL, SAP, SAP4H , PYTHON)
• Experience with pricelist / catalogue management and supplier data
• Strong stakeholder management skills and Leadership skills (Coaching approach in people management)
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
