Job summary

TXT e-Tech in Torino, Italy, part of the TXT Group, seeks a Hardware & FPGA Designer to join our Aerospace & Defence development team. You will design and develop electronic boards for data acquisition, simulation, and testing across the full product lifecycle.

The role requires strong FPGA expertise (VHDL/Verilog), PCB design with CAD tools, and hands-on testing with standard lab equipment. A Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering is expected, with English proficiency (B2+).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Strong FPGA architectures knowledge with VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with PCB design and CAD tools (EasyEDA, Autodesk Fusion, or equivalent).
• Familiar with signal integrity, buses, and serial protocols.
• Hands-on with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, logic analyzers).
• Proficient English (B2+).

Job description

TXT e-Tech, part of the TXT Group, is looking for a Hardware & FPGA Designer to join our Aerospace & Defence development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the design and development of electronic boards for data acquisition, simulation, and testing, managing the entire product lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

• Hardware Design: Development of data acquisition and simulation boards for discrete, analog, serial signals, and communication buses;
• Schematic Design: Creation of electrical schematics and PCB design;
• FPGA Development: Design, implementation, and programming of programmable logic devices;
• Testing & Test Benches: Design of electromechanical interfaces and setup of hardware/software testing systems.

Required Technical Skills:

• FPGA Design & HDLs: Strong knowledge of FPGA architectures and proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog;
• PCB Design & CAD Tools: Experience with CAD and EDA tools (e.g., EasyEDA, Autodesk Fusion, or equivalent);
• Signal Integrity & Interfaces: Solid understanding of discrete and analog signals, field buses, and serial communication protocols;
• Laboratory Instrumentation: Hands‑on experience with common test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and logic analyzers;
• English language proficiency: B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Experience or knowledge in ASIC design and integration;
• Knowledge of the C programming language for embedded environments;
• Experience with rapid prototyping using Arduino platforms or similar microcontrollers.

Education:

Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

• The contract offered for this position is a permanent one, and the salary range for this position is between EUR 28.000 € and EUR 32.000 € gross per year.
• The grading/level will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate's profile and in accordance with the National Collective Labor Agreement (Metalworking Industry).
