Job summary

Human Technopole in Milan is seeking a motivated Grant Accounting Specialist to support the Finance Team in post‑award financial management and reporting for foundation grants. You will prepare financial reports, monitor budgets, verify cost eligibility, and ensure compliance with grant agreements and regulations.

• Secondary school diploma.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• 1+ year of grant or funded‑project reporting experience.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of EU and national funding rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic and final grant financial reports in accordance with funder requirements and deadlines.
• Verify eligibility, accuracy, and correct allocation of project costs.
• Collect, review, and organise supporting documentation for financial reporting and audits.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditure, and reporting deadlines; flag deviations.
• Perform periodic accounting reconciliations and support project closure activities.
• Manage timesheets and ensure consistency with reported personnel costs.
• Liaise with research groups and internal departments for grant reporting information.
• Assist during external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
