Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Travel Operations Specialist to join our Business Services team from anywhere globally. You will manage travel queries, support events, and coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth travel for colleagues and guests.

You'll monitor spend and policy compliance, help with invoices, and learn new travel technologies while contributing to continuous improvement in our travel program. This is a remote, globally distributed role with potential travel to company events.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and strong academic record.
• Degree in business or technical subject with good academic results.
• Willingness to travel up to four times a year for company events of up to two weeks duration.
• Ability to learn new technology and software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with colleagues to address travel queries and issues
• Work with the wider business services team on company and industry event plans
• Hold travel vendors accountable for providing excellent service
• Check invoices to ensure accurate charges and timely payments, credits and refunds for travel
• Monitor trends, spend, emissions and compliance with company policy
• Track unused tickets, credits and airline points usage
