Zeeco is seeking a Principal Accountant for its Italian headquarters in the Milano area to strengthen the Finance team as a key accounting reference point in a fast-growing, international, project-driven organization.

The role emphasizes strong technical expertise, pragmatic problem-solving, and building scalable accounting processes in an evolving environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or related field.
• 10+ years in general accounting, audit, or similar roles in international/project-based environments.
• Strong accounting principles and financial reporting demonstrated.
• Trusted accounting reference point with process improvement experience.
• Payroll and tax understanding and external provider coordination.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience (SAGE, SAP, Oracle).
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to see the big picture.
• Fluent English (minimum B2); German knowledge is a plus.

Mansioni

• Act as an accounting reference point for general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare, review and analyse statutory and internal financial reporting for coherence and data integrity.
• Contribute to design, documentation, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Perform high-level data validation across systems and propose corrective actions.
• Support project accounting activities including cost tracking and revenue recognition.
• Assist payroll and tax processes and related reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation and explanations.
