World Food Programme in Rome, Italy, seeks a Data Protection Specialist to support the Global Privacy Office. You will help implement privacy governance, draft policies, and advise divisions and offices on data protection issues across the organization.

The role focuses on developing notices, PIAs, training, and risk mitigation while coordinating with internal and external partners to strengthen privacy protections for beneficiaries and staff.

Competenze

• Advanced degree in law, information technology, or related field
• LLM/ Master in data protection or privacy
• Knowledge of international security standards (ISO 27001/27701, NIST) is desirable

Mansioni

• Develop and operationalize Data Protection and Privacy policies, governance, procedures, and tools.
• Review and adapt policy frameworks to Privacy Program needs.
• Draft SOPs, guidance, and conduct legal research on Data Protection developments.
• Provide advice to HQ divisions and field offices on Data Protection issues and standards.
• Support rollout of privacy program elements (notices, PIAs, data processing registers, training).
• Prepare and review Data Protection agreements with public/private entities.
• Improve systems, tools, and templates to fit operational needs.
• Develop reporting mechanisms to monitor Privacy activities and risks.
• Track program milestones and produce notes/reports as required.
• Conduct training and awareness activities on data protection.
• Perform other related duties as required.
