World Food Programme in Rome HQ is seeking a lead for Operational Information Management (OIM) to ensure high-quality, coherent information flows across the organization. The role drives governance, reporting, and tech enhancements, including AI-enabled solutions.

You will coordinate information management during emergencies, mentor staff, and engage with partners to strengthen the global information network. A senior, on-site position based in Rome is anticipated.

Competenze

• Education: Advanced University degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, or another relevant field.
• Experience: Between 6 and 10 years of postgraduate-related professional work experience in information management, reporting, or related fields.
• Knowledge & Skills: Excellent written skills in English, with the ability to synthesize complex information and tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Languages: Excellent writing skills in English.
• Other requirements: This position is based in Rome HQ and requires full on-site presence.

Mansioni

• Lead development and institutionalization of OIM governance frameworks and best practices.
• Manage production and dissemination of key operational information products like the Daily Operational Brief (DOB).
• Lead design and delivery of OIM tools, templates, and training materials.
• Manage and enhance OIM digital platforms (OPweb, OIMS) and related solutions.
• Promote AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and reduce duplication in OIM processes.
• Coordinate information management during emergencies and provide surge support.
• Strengthen the global OIM network through collaboration and staff development.
