Qualifications

• MS or PhD in quantitative field, or equivalent depth with 8+ years of applied data science experience.
• Expert-level Python proficiency for data science with production-quality coding.
• Advanced SQL skills on large datasets with complex queries.
• Strong foundation in statistics and econometrics: regression, hypothesis testing, causal inference.

Responsibilities

• Develop price elasticity models to estimate demand curves at SKU-category-location levels.
• Build dynamic pricing algorithms updating in near real-time against competitor actions and demand signals.
• Create price architecture frameworks using clustering, segmentation and optimization techniques.
• Design margin optimization models balancing volume and profitability.
• Build causal inference models to measure incrementality of promotions.
• Develop promotion ROI prediction models and optimization under budget constraints.
• Create promotion planning optimization algorithms to maximize ROI.
• Deploy models to production with monitoring and retraining workflows.
• Build data pipelines (Airflow, Spark) for pricing and sales data at scale.
• Collaborate with business teams and report insights to executives.
