Job summary

Flexport in Lombardy, Italy is seeking a Global Operations Associate to coordinate end-to-end freight movements, ensure on-time deliveries, and meet internal KPIs. You will liaise with steamship lines, air carriers, and customs, while maintaining a compliant, efficient operation.

The role requires 1–2+ years in logistics and fluency in Italian and English; a proactive, tech-savvy mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree or completed professional training as forwarding agent.
• 1-2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations.
• Fluent in Italian and English (other European languages are a plus).
• Able to adapt to new technology and fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management and ability to prioritize a large volume of tasks.
• Ability to seek and receive feedback.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Teamwork and relationship building.
• Compliance-focused attitude to keep regulators happy.

Responsibilities

• Be the “front line” in ensuring the highest standard of Flexport quality: shipments move on-time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
• Ensure work satisfies internal KPIs and SLAs for quality delivery.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Resolve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination.
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics with partners, carriers, customs, and warehousing.
• Execute end-to-end movement of freight within a regional network (imports and exports).
• Support partner-managed shipments to drive partner autonomy (where applicable).
