Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Growth Markets Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on expertise, traveling globally to commission, maintain, and repair EV charging equipment with partners. You will audit field activities, train partners, and ensure safe operation at customer sites.

You will diagnose faults, communicate clearly with customers, and identify upgrades or spare parts needs, while coordinating with internal teams for knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or professional training plus at least 3 years of field service experience.
• Experience with EV charging equipment is required.
• Ability to travel globally ~70–80% and Work remotely with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure, maintain and repair EV charging equipment with partners.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults on-site and restore charger performance.
• Represent ABB E-mobility at customer sites with professional communication and follow-up.
• Identify customer needs for upgrades, maintenance and parts; share recommendations with teams.
• Audit partners’ on-site activities and identify opportunities to improve field execution.
• Train service partners in Growth Markets and support certification readiness.
• Document service activities and share findings with remote support and internal teams.
