Grünenthal Group in Lombardy, Italy, seeks an experienced leader to define and execute the Global External Supply Operations strategy and oversee a global network of external manufacturers and licensors. The role focuses on uninterrupted supply, strategic supplier relationships, and building a high-performing ESO organization across cross-functional teams.

You will drive risk management, governance, and cost optimization while partnering with internal functions and senior leadership.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical operations, external manufacturing, supply chain and/or procurement.
• Experience leading complex outsourced manufacturing and managing strategic partnerships with global CMOs/CDMOs at senior executive level.
• Proven P&L accountability and end-to-end operational leadership with cost optimization and value creation.
• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain and quality systems across multiple dosage forms.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with a track record of high-value negotiations.
• Experience building and leading international, cross-functional teams through change and growth.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

Mansioni

• Define and execute the global External Supply Operations (ESO) strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead external manufacturing and licensed product network, overseeing ~66 suppliers and €200m spend.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply across quality, service, cost, cash, compliance and risk.
• Own SRM, driving supplier performance and executive partnerships.
• Build and develop a high-performing ESO organisation with cross-functional teams.
• Drive proactive supply risk management and act as escalation point for critical issues.
• Lead strategic initiatives including due diligences, tech transfers, network optimization and new product introductions.
• Partner with internal functions and represent ESO in governance forums and major negotiations.
