Leonardo S.p.A. cerca Geospatial Platform Engineer con focus sull’AI per progettare, implementare e far operare piattaforme software per soluzioni EO e IA. Lavorerai a Roma con integrazione tra dati geospaziali, modelli LLM e sistemi di automazione.

Nei progetti collaborerai con AI Engineers, Remote Sensing Scientists e fornitori esterni per trasformare prototipi in servizi affidabili, sicuri e scalabili su ambienti Kubernetes ibridi e cloud. Ruolo iniziale junior con chiaro percorso di crescita.

Qualifications

• Laurea magistrale in Ingegneria del software, informatica, ingegneria, matematica, fisica, geoinformatica o equivalente.
• Fino a 5 anni di esperienza in software engineering, cloud o piattaforme geospaziali.
• Competenze solide di sviluppo in Python e architetture web moderne.
• Conoscenza di CI/CD, DevOps e principi di Platform Engineering.
• Buone capacità comunicative in italiano e inglese.

Responsibilities

• Sviluppare e gestire piattaforme geospaziali e IA in produzione su ambienti hybrid/cloud.
• Contribuire all'orchestrazione di AI, RAG, LLM e GFMs.
• Implementare API REST, microservizi e componenti backend per dati geospaziali e servizi IA.

We are looking for a Geospatial Platform Engineer to help design, implement, and operate the software platforms that enable scalable AI and EO solutions in production.Within the Chief Technological Innovation Office organizational unit we are looking a resource to cover the position of **Geospatial Platform Engineer - AI focus at the Rome office.**This role is responsible for developing and operating the underlying data, platform, and integration capabilities that support modern EO applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, agent-based workflows, geospatial data catalogs, and cloud-native data services.You'll work closely with AI Engineers, Remote Sensing Scientists, Product Owners and external suppliers to transform prototypes into reliable, secure and scalable production services.
