AVL Italia S.p.A. is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and verify safety concepts in safety-related automotive projects.

You will perform risk assessments, safety analyses, and coordinate with system, software, and hardware teams to ensure compliance with safety standards in Torino, IT. The position requires completing a technical university degree, several years of safety project experience, and fluency in English.

Competenze

• Completed education in technical university or equivalent with focus on mechatronic, physics, software, electronics, or related field.
• Driver's License required.
• Certified Safety Engineer.
• HV Basis Training.
• Several years of proven experience in the development of safety-related projects from prototype to SoP.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic development.
• In-depth knowledge of system engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of safety standards.
• Familiar with AVL safety development processes and the V-Model.
• Sound knowledge of software engineering basics.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering basics.
• Good English language skills.

Functional Safety Engineer

TheFunctional Safety Engineer must develop, implement, and verify safety concepts in safety-related projects. This job involves executing risk assessments and safety analyses and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The engineer will work closely with system, software, and hardware teams to verify safety functionalities and support R&D activities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of test specifications
• Execution of safety tests
• Execution of safety R&D tasks
• Identify and report project deviations proactively
• Contribute to lessons learnt

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed education in technical university or equivalent with a focus on mechatronic, physics, software, electronics, or a related field.
