Wabtec is seeking a Freight System Engineer to lead the design and integration of braking and digitalization solutions for railway systems. You will coordinate with project teams, Wabtec sites, and customers across France and internationally, ensuring technical excellence and traceability throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in industry, strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic systems, and fluency in Italian and English with French a plus.

Competenze

• Higher education in mechanics or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.

Mansioni

• Design and develop railway braking systems and digitalization solutions.
• Manage technical specifications and interfaces between subsystems.
• Ensure requirement traceability and technical project consistency.
• Participate in customer technical reviews and project milestone meetings.
• Analyze technical risks and propose appropriate solutions.
• Manage customer-requested modifications by evaluating their technical and economic impacts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, multi-site teams in an international environment.
• Assume technical responsibility for projects and ensure overall consistency of the solution through commissioning.
• Manage technical requirements and their traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
