Wabtec Corporation in Italy seeks a Freight System Engineer to oversee the integration of braking and digitalization systems, serving as the primary contact between project teams, Wabtec sites, and customers across France and internationally.

The role involves designing and developing railway braking systems and digitalization solutions, managing specifications, ensuring traceability, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment.

Competenze

• Higher education in mechanics or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to draft technical specifications and work on complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic blueprints and schematics.
• Professional Italian and English (French is considered a plus).

How will you make a difference?

As a Freight System Engineer, oversee the integration of braking and/or digitalization systems to ensure delivered solutions meet customer requirements. You will serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, Wabtec sites, and customers, both in France and internationally.

What will your typical day look like?

• Design and develop railway braking systems and digitalization solutions.
• Manage technical specifications and interfaces between various subsystems.
• Ensure requirement traceability and technical project consistency.
• Participate in customer technical reviews and project milestone meetings.
• Analyze technical risks and propose appropriate solutions.

• Availability for regular travel within Europe and occasional international travel.
