Wabtec Corporation is seeking an Electrical Commodity Leader to drive strategic sourcing across engineering, NPI sourcing, quality and services in Europe. The role offers exposure to a global supplier base and cross-functional collaboration within the business.

You will identify savings opportunities, optimize supplier panels, and lead negotiations to deliver cost efficiencies while ensuring supply continuity. The position requires 25% travel mainly in Europe and valid EU work authorization.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Commodity Management/Project Buying.
• Strong negotiations and supplier interaction skills; inclusive leadership and ownership on cross-functional projects.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams to achieve timely project execution.
• Strong data analytics and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously under short timeframes.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time (Europe).
• Authorization to work in the EU.

Job Description

We are hiring an Electrical Commodity Leader (m./f.)

Location : France (Gennevilliers, Tours, Amiens, Neuville-en-Ferrain) or Italy (Piossasco).

How will you make a difference?

You will identify and drive proactive strategies with a clear focus on margin improvement, cash generation, supplier relationship management, dual source development, low-cost country spend migration, cross functional project management, supplier delivery performance management and service part productivity.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain or Related Field
• Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Commodity Management / Project Buying.
• Strong negotiations and supplier interaction skills; inclusive leadership and driver who take ownership on driving cross functional projects to deliver results.
• Ability to influence others and to work with cross functional teams such as engineering, NPI sourcing, quality, services, materials etc. to achieve timely project execution.
• Strong organizational ability, data analytics, and presentation skills.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with positive persuasive attitude
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously under short time requirement.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time (mainly in Europe).
• Authorization to work in E.U.

What will your typical day look like?

A typical day is about understanding our spend and products, challenging the competitiveness of our supplier panel and working closely with Engineering, quality and local team to identify new savings opportunities. It is also about turning the strategy into results by negotiating with suppliers, bringing in new sources, coordinating local teams and securing supply.
