ceva air ocean italy s.p.a. in Rome (Fiumicino) is seeking a dedicated forwarding management senior specialist to join the ocean division.

The role sits in the ocean customer service unit and focuses on end-to-end ocean freight forwarding across Italy. The successful candidate will manage complex shipments, coordinate with customers, carriers and internal teams, ensure regulatory compliance and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.

Competenze

• Proven experience in ocean freight forwarding, preferably in a senior or specialist role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures and logistics coordination.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; able to manage multiple complex shipments.
• Proficiency in logistics software and IT systems used for ocean freight management.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and solve problems effectively.
• Fluency in Italian and good command of English (written and spoken).
• Relevant vocational or academic qualifications in logistics, supply chain management or related fields.

Mansioni

• Manage end‑to‑end ocean freight forwarding processes ensuring seamless transportation and delivery.
• Act as primary liaison between customers, carriers, internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues.
• Oversee shipment planning, documentation, scheduling and compliance with customs and maritime regulations.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to align logistics solutions with customer needs and company objectives.
• Monitor shipment progress, provide updates and proactively address potential delays.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and security standards.
• Support training and mentoring of junior team members.
• Maintain accurate records of forwarding transactions, contracts and performance metrics.
