Mandarin Oriental Milan is seeking a Finance Intern to join the Finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance. You will support the supplier accountant officer and cost controller, assisting with invoices, payments, and financial reporting in a close-knit team environment.

We seek proactive, organized candidates currently studying or recently graduated in Finance or related fields, with basic accounting knowledge and strong numerical skills.

Competenze

Currently studying or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Strong written and spoken English and Italian communication.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Mansioni

Assist in processing invoices, payments and expense reports following procedures.
Support accounts receivable activities including billing, follow-up and collections.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Assist in journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial reports and management analyses.
Support budget tracking and variance analysis.
Assist in internal audits and compliance processes.
Collaborate with operational departments for accurate reporting.
Facilitate communication between finance and other departments.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Finance Department in Milan, the Finance intern is supporting the supplier accountant officer and cost controller. The Finance intern reports to the Director of Finance.

As Finance Intern, you willbe responsiblefor the following duties:

To assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense reports in accordance with established procedures
To support accounts receivable activities, including billing, follow-up, and collections
To assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
To support the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
To assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management analysis
To support budget tracking and assist in variance analysis
To assist in internal audits and compliance processes
To collaborate with operational departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
To support communication between finance and other departments
To assist in maintaining financial databases, trackers, and documentation
To support preparation of purchase requests and payment authorizations
To ensure proper filling and organization of financial records
To carry out any additional duties as required to support Finance operations

As Finance Intern, weexpectfrom you:

To be currently studying or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
To communicate effectively in both English and Italian, written and verbal
To have basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
To exhibit a proactive, organized, and professional approach
To show strong numerical ability and accuracy in handling financial data
To demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured manner
To maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling financial information
To demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills
