Electra in Milan is seeking a motivated economics/finance student for a 6-month internship in finance and accounting. You will help with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to support ongoing European energy transition initiatives.

The role offers hands-on experience in cash management, accounting processes, and regulatory compliance within an international team.

• Currently studying at a university or university of applied sciences
• Interest in financial accounting and controlling
• Able to handle high transaction volumes and stay organized
• Languages: Italian and English

Your Mission

You will join a dynamic and collaborative team, where you will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of financial and accounting management, from initial analysis to final monitoring. Your responsibilities will include:

• Financial Analysis: You will contribute to the development of detailed financial reports and analyses, ensuring they are aligned with the highest company standards.

• Management Controlling: You will support the creation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, helping to maintain effective control over financial performance.

• Operational Management: You will be involved in general accounting and account reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of financial data in collaboration with the external accounting firm.

• Compliance & Regulation: You will ensure that all financial activities comply with applicable regulations and standards.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that financial objectives are achieved effectively and that processes are continuously optimized.

• Country-specific & Cross-country Projects: You will take part in financial initiatives covering both Italy-specific projects and cross-border projects in collaboration with HQ.

• Train a professional capable of analyzing and managing financial data with both technical expertise and strategic vision.

• Participate in the financial planning and management controlling process.

• Gain hands-on experience in cash flow management, accounting, and monitoring of financial performance.

• Develop a comprehensive, 360° understanding of the finance world, including the various business functions involved in financial processes.

Your Profile

• Currently studying at a university or university of applied sciences, ideally in business administration, finance, accounting or controlling

• Genuine interest in financial accounting, controlling and the mechanics behind business performance

• Rigorous, organized, comfortable with high transaction volumes

• Languages: Italian and English

• Eligible to work in Italy
