Siemens Healthcare in the Milan area is seeking a Software Installation Engineer to join our software installation team, contributing to the installation and upgrade of oncology information systems and associated IT infrastructure at customer sites.

You will perform both on-site and remote assignments after training, testing, and configuring software, databases, and networks. Travel will be 50–75% within Italy with occasional travel across EMEA and Africa.

Competenze

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
Practical knowledge of Intel-based computer architecture.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments.
Understanding of relational databases and SQL, especially Microsoft SQL Server.
Solid knowledge of IT networking.
Hands-on hardware experience including servers, racks, switches, backup systems.
Fluent in Italian and English.
Willingness to travel 50–75% within Italy and across EMEA/Africa.

Mansioni

Perform remote and on-site software installation, upgrade, and configuration for customer systems.
Install, test and hand over oncology information systems and IT equipment.
Conduct database tests and clinical database upgrades for radiotherapy departments.
Update licenses and configure applications.
Install complete IT infrastructure including servers, switches, and workstations.
Prepare customer sites with Active Directory and network configuration remotely or on-site.
Plan and execute complex clinical database upgrades with customers.
Support go-live and troubleshoot issues with appropriate teams.
