Siemens Healthineers AG in Milan area is seeking a Software Installation Engineer to join our software installation team in Northern Italy. You will install, configure and upgrade oncology information systems and IT infrastructure at customer sites, both on-site and remotely.

Travel will be 50-75% within Italy and across EMEA/Africa. The role suits those starting in a high-tech cancer care environment or seasoned professionals expanding their field service expertise, with comprehensive training

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server environments and SQL Server.
Strong IT networking knowledge and hardware installation experience.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site and remote software installation, upgrades and configuration at customer sites.
Install, test and hand over oncology information systems and related IT equipment.
Conduct database tests and clinical system upgrades, including ARIA and Eclipse environments.
Update licenses and configure required applications.
Set up IT infrastructure including servers, switches and backup systems as needed.
Prepare customer sites with Active Directory and network configuration support.
Coordinate with customers to plan and execute complex database upgrades.
Perform acceptance testing and assist go-live processes.
Troubleshoot issues and involve other teams as needed.
Travel 50–75% within Italy, and occasionally to EMEA/Africa, with assignments 1–5 days long.
