Job summary

AP&S International GmbH is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Italy to support installation, maintenance and repair of wet chemical manufacturing equipment in a state-of-the-art semiconductor environment.

You will perform maintenance, upgrades and customer acceptance activities across Italy and Europe, troubleshooting PC-controlled systems and collaborating with teams and customers. Fluency in Italian and English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed technical training in mechanics, electronics, automation, or process engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience and industry knowledge in the semiconductor industry (Front-end)
• Ideally, experienced with wet-process tools
• Experience in troubleshooting PC-controlled systems and commissioning electrical systems, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and finding solutions
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region (within Italy and Europe)
• Confident demeanor when interacting with customers and business partners as well as professional communication and mindset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a structured manner
• Ability to work well in a team
• Fluent in Italian and English; German would be an advantage
• Intercultural and virtual collaboration skills

• Upgrades to existing equipment: You are responsible for performing upgrades on existing production equipment and use your knowledge of automation technology to effectively optimize systems and equipment.
• Support during customer acceptance: You actively support customer acceptance activities and ensure a smooth handover of equipment and systems.
• Troubleshooting and fault resolution: Your responsibilities include the systematic analysis and resolution of faults and technical issues on our equipment.

What Your Day In Service Could Look Like

• Maintenance and servicing ∶ You carry out maintenance and servicing activities at our customers’ sites in Italy in accordance with customer requirements, applying your expertise in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or automation technology. Experience in mechanical engineering and process technology is an advantage.
• Upgrades to existing equipment ∶ You are responsible for performing upgrades on existing production equipment and use your knowledge of automation technology to effectively optimize systems and equipment. Teamwork is essential, as you will work closely with both colleagues and customers.
• Support during customer acceptance ∶ You actively support customer acceptance activities and ensure a smooth handover of equipment and systems.
• Troubleshooting and fault resolution ∶ Your responsibilities include the systematic analysis and resolution of faults and technical issues on our equipment. Experience in troubleshooting fully automated systems and/or working in the semiconductor industry is a plus, but not a requirement. Your reliable and team-oriented approach enables you to handle these tasks efficiently.
