Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to manage technical relations after sale for da Vinci Surgical platforms in an assigned territory. You will work independently to prioritize escalations, coordinate installations, and ensure system uptime while upholding customer relationships with surgeons and hospital staff.

Responsibilities include planning installations, scheduling visits, troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, and delivering in-room technical training.

Qualifications

• College degree in applied science or engineering preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Travel up to 50%, depending on account distribution.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with medical devices and OR protocol.

Responsibilities

• Support all da Vinci Surgical platforms.
• Analyze customer requirements for effective system installation.
• Schedule and manage planned and unplanned customer visits to ensure uptime.
• Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems independently.
• Provide technical training and support as needed in OR environments.
• Maintain administrative duties: parts inventory, service contracts, and data in escalation system.
• Assist Sales Training and Marketing events by identifying potential issues.
