Baker Hughes in Italy seeks a Lead Mechanical Field Service Engineer for Centrifugal Compressors to be the first point of contact for global customers on-site. You will lead activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard, while developing product knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic environment.

You will travel up to 70% and oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer meetings, with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and documentation.

Competenze

• Technical Diploma.
• Ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities.
• Relevant working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Extensive experience in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
• Deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
• Motivated self‑starter, able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.
• Excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English.
• EU Passport or a European Work permit.

Mansioni

• Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
• Overseeing overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Centrifugal Compressor products at customer sites.
• Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and advise on technical solutions.
• Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
