Job summary

Baker Hughes Company is seeking an Instrument Engineer to design instrumentation systems for test benches for gas turbine and compressor prototype testing. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to introduce new technologies, develop cost-effective solutions, and support product development from design through testing.

The role requires MSc in a engineering discipline and fluency in English, with travel to sites for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

MSc in Control, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Management or CS engineering.
Proficient in instrument design and related development tools; knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and motivate others.
Willing to travel on site/test beds for commissioning and support; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

Analyze and define instrumentation requirements based on client specs and project needs, ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.
Select, specify, and design field instruments and control valves for reliability within process systems.
Prepare and develop P&IDs, instrument datasheets, wiring schematics, and related documentation.
Optimize internal standard solutions and design tools; promote new ideas.
Support New Product and New Technology introduction; participate in reviews as presenter or reviewer.
Formulate security architecture recommendations and perform risk assessments as required.
