Mase Consulting Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Automation Technician to service and install highly complex automated equipment across Italy. The role requires a hands-on mechanical/electrical skillset and a proactive travel mindset.

You will support pharmaceutical manufacturers, participate in installations and training, and travel as needed. A driving license and the right to work in Italy are essential; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2+ years of service engineering/technician experience on complex equipment.
• Fluent English and good Italian.
• Willing to travel and stay nights as required.
• Valid local driving license; right to work in Italy; client does not sponsor.

Responsabilidades

• Operate with an 80% mechanical/20% electrical focus.
• Support pharmaceutical manufacturers across Italy as part of a service team.
• Attend a low number of customer calls due to complex cases.
• Occasionally participate in installations, commissioning and user training.
• Travel to remotely support customers outside Italy in emergencies.
• Coordinate with the engineering planner to plan activities and movements.
• Perform routine service, calibration, fault finding, and repairs; complete service visit reports.

About The Role

As a Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work from a home office and be responsible for:

• Operating in an 80% mechanical and 20% electrical role.
• Working within a service engineering team supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers across Italy.
• Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming.
• On rare occasions operating as part of an installation team to complete new equipment installations, commissioning and user training.
• Supporting customers outside of Italy should an emergency occur requiring your support.
• Working to preventative maintenance and installation work which is often booked 2-3 months in advance, whilst also reacting to more pressing breakdowns and repairs.
• Working with the engineering planner to coordinate activities and movements.
• Conducting routine service and calibration work, alongside more reactive maintenance, including fault finding, problem resolution and repair.
• Completing service visit reports.

About You

The successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of service engineering / technician experience, gained working on complex equipment, which could include but not limited to, Industrial Automation, Pharmaceutical manufacturing, Robotics, Scientific Equipment, Food Processing, Logistics Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Medical, Biomedical, Scientific or other high value complex equipment.

Candidates must speak advance level English, a good level of Italian and be multiskilled with a mechanical focus.You must be comfortable with travel and nights away when needed.

A degree level education is beneficial, but not essential, as is experience working in a cleanroom or sterile environment.

It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable with travel and spending time away from home.

A valid local driving license is essential, as is the right to work in Italy. My client doesn’t offer sponsorship.
