Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations
• File SEDs (Shippers Export Declarations)
• Track and trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery
• Provide billing information to accounting with accuracy
• Communicate with clients regarding freight disposition and rate quotations
• Coordinate with vendors/suppliers on shipment dispatch, routing and pricing
• Collaborate with branches and agents to ensure high quality service
• Seek cost-effective shipment modes while meeting client requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client’s logistics challenges.

We are seeking for an Export Specialist based in Livorno. The ideal candidate has experience in the logistics field and a strong understanding of export procedures and processes.

The Export Specialist is responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. The resource works with clients, carriers and potential clients on a daily basis.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare documentation, dock receipts, bills of lading, export declarations
• File SED’s (Shippers Export Declarations)
• Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery
• Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information
• Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations)
• Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates
• Communicate & correspond with other Company branches and agents for client satisfaction, and ensure excellent service execution
• Seek the most profitable mode of shipment, yet meet client’s requirement for the movement of freight
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking. Some light lifting may be required in some instances.

• Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.

Salary range: 30 to 34k annual
