Job summary

Prysmian Group in Lombardy, Italy seeks an Project Buyer to secure efficient procurement and subcontracting for large EPCI cable projects. Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain/Economics.
• 5+ years in procurement or related fields.
• Knowledge of contractual templates and principles.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Decision making, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Teamwork, results orientation and ambitious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end subcontracting activities in EPCI projects within the assigned region/category.
• Develop subcontracting strategies aligned with project schedules and risk plans.
• Optimize cost structures while meeting tight timelines and ensuring service reliability.
• Monitor vendor performance via KPIs.
• Handle critical escalations through multi-stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering and Operations for alignment of procurement and execution.
• Ensure contractual compliance including insurance, liabilities and delivery terms.
• Lead scouting and development of local vendors.
• Impact large-scale energy projects and contribute to energy transition.
