Galileo Green Energy GmbH in Milan is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team across development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. The role offers a Milan-based position with a hybrid remote working policy and reports to the EPC Director.

You will oversee engineering across the full project lifecycle, review technical studies, and drive site engineering integration with other functions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering a plus).
• 8+ years of renewable energy engineering and project delivery.
• Experience with technical due diligence, tender processes, contractor selection, EPC or equipment supply negotiations.
• English at professional level; Italian or other European languages advantageous.

• Act as the EPC Director’s technical partner across the project portfolio.
• Oversee engineering from development through operations.
• Review technical studies, layouts, energy yield assessments and risk analyses for quality and compliance.
• Lead site engineering activities and ensure design, constraints and constructability are integrated into execution.

Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator , currently in the very dynamic start-up phase.Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over16 GWofsolarPV,onshore wind,offshore windandstorageprojects across10 marketsin Europe.

We are looking for an Engineering Managerto lead the company’s engineering team across the development and deliveryof utility-scale renewable energy projects. This person will be based in ouroffice in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the EPC Director.

What you’ll do

• Act as theEPC Director’s key technical partner, supporting strategic and operationaldecisions across the project portfolio.
  
• Oversee engineering activities throughout the fullproject lifecycle, from early-stage development and feasibility throughprocurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
  
• Review and approve technical studies, layouts,designs, energy-yield assessments and risk analyses, ensuring quality,consistency and compliance with applicable standards.
  
• Play a central role in site engineeringactivities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, supporting bothpre-construction and construction phases, ensuring that technical design, siteconstraints and constructability requirements are properly integrated intoproject execution.
  
• Work closely with Development, Procurement,Construction, Investment, Legal and Asset Management teams to support projectdelivery, financing and divestment.
  
• Lead the technical aspects of tenders, bidevaluations, equipment selection and support the negotiations with EPCcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
  
• Manage external technical advisors and monitor market,regulatory and technology developments to identify risks and improvementopportunities.
  
• Lead, manage and develop the engineering team,defining priorities, responsibilities, technical standards and ways of working.
  

Requirements

Whatyou’ll need

• Bachelor's or Master’s degreein Engineering (Electrical Engineering will be considered a plus).
  
• At least 8 years of experiencein renewable energy engineering and project delivery, with strong exposure toutility-scale solar PV.
  
• Strong knowledge of therenewable energy project lifecycle, including development, design, procurement,construction and commissioning.
  
• Experience with technical duediligence, tender processes, contractor selection and EPC or equipment supplynegotiations.
  
• Strong leadership, analytical andcommunication skills, with the ability to combine technical detail withcommercial and strategic thinking.
  
• Full professional proficiencyin English; Italian or other European languages will be considered anadvantage.
