Galileo Green Energy in Milan is seeking a M&A and Project Finance Intern to assist in analyzing investment opportunities in renewable energy. This role offers a 6-month internship in a dynamic environment where you can influence key decisions.

You will work closely with senior team members and gain valuable experience in corporate finance, market research, and financial modelling, all while collaborating with passionate professionals across Europe.

Fluency in Italian and English is essential, and another European language is a plus.

Competenze

• Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or project finance considered a plus.
• Basic understanding of corporate finance, valuation principles, and financial modelling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

We are looking foraM&A and Project Finance Internto support the team in the analysis of new investment opportunities andfinancing solutions across different renewable energy technologies, includingsolar PV, onshore and offshore wind, and BESS.Working across the M&Aand Project Finance teams, this person will be based in Milan(with thepossibility of hybrid remote working).

What you’ll do

• Support the M&A and Project Finance teams in the analysis and executionof sell-side, buy-side and partnership transactions, contributing to differentphases of the process under the supervision of senior team members.
• Assist in the preparation, update and review of financial models forM&A, project valuation and project finance purposes, including sensitivityanalyses and scenario assessments.
• Support the analysis of investment opportunities across different renewableenergy technologies, contributing to the assessment of project economics, keyvalue drivers and potential risks.
• Contribute to market research and benchmarking activities related to newgeographical markets and emerging business models.
• Assist in the preparation of internal presentations, investment memos andsupporting materials for decision-making processes.
• Support the team in collecting, organizing and analysing financial,technical and commercial information related to projects in development,construction and operation.
• Contribute to project finance and debt-relatedactivities by supporting data collection, documentation review and analysis offinancing structures under the guidance of senior colleagues.

What you’ll need

• Excellent academic background with a degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management Engineering (degrees in STEM are also suitable, if accompanied with background in economics or finance).
• Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure funds, corporate M&A, project finance or the energy sector will be considered a plus.
• Basic understanding of corporate finance, valuation principles and financial modelling.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical and quantitative skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English. Another European language would be a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively with different teams and take ownership of assigned activities with a proactive attitude.
