Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to drive our project pipeline in Milano, supporting Business Development, M&A, and EPC teams. You will manage technical delivery across the entire project lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years of utility-scale experience, proficiency in PV design tools, and strong knowledge of IEC/CEI standards. You will collaborate with external advisors and lenders to ensure technical excellence and successful project delivery.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in utility-scale system design, permitting, construction.
• Proficient in PV design software: PVsyst, PVcase, and AutoCAD.
• English fluency; additional language is a plus.
• IEC/CEI standards and interconnection knowledge.

Mansioni

• Design layouts, PVsyst reports, and performance analyses for pipeline projects (Utility-scale PV, BESS, and Wind).
• Provide technical input from initial site assessment through techno-economic feasibility, construction monitoring, final acceptance, and ongoing operations.
• Act as a technical advisor for project development, M&A activities, and operational optimization.
• Manage the technical due diligence (TDD) process with external advisors and lenders' engineers.
• Review and prepare comprehensive technical packages including layouts, SLD, technical specs, reports, proposals, calculations, and BoQ.
• Oversee external engineering firms during preliminary and detailed design/construction phases.
• Evaluate feasibility and health of renewable energy assets through rigorous technical auditing.

Responsibilities

Econergy is seeking a Project Engineer to drive our project pipeline. The successful candidate will support the Business Development, M&A, and EPC teams by managing technical delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities

• Design & Performance: Produce preliminary layouts, PVSyst reports, and detailed performance analyses for pipeline projects (Utility-scale PV, BESS, and Wind).
• Lifecycle Engineering: Provide technical input from initial site assessment through to techno-economic feasibility, construction monitoring, final acceptance, and ongoing operations.
• Strategic Support: Act as a technical advisor for project development, M&A activities, and operational optimization.
• Technical Due Diligence: Manage the technical due diligence (TDD) process, including coordination with external advisors and lenders' engineers.
• Documentation: Review and prepare comprehensive technical packages including Layouts, SLD, technical specifications, reports, proposals, calculations, and BoQ.
• Design Management: Oversee external engineering firms during the preliminary and detailed design/construction phases.
• Technical Assessment: Evaluate the feasibility and health of renewable energy assets through rigorous technical auditing.

Operation: EPCm Department - Full-time - On-site Milano, IT

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in utility-scale system design, permitting, construction.
• Software Proficiency: Expert skills inPvsyst and other design software (e.g., PVcase, VirtoCAD).
• CAD Skills: Advanced AutoCAD proficiency, with the ability to produce full sets of construction-ready drawings and site plans.
• Technical Oversight: Proven track record in providing technical support for energy projects with direct accountability for performance and design optimization.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of PV system design, including the optimization of components to maximize energy yield (LCOE focus).
• Components & Standards: Strong knowledge of electrical and structural components, including familiarity with Tier-1 manufacturers and international standards (IEC, CEI, etc.).
• Interconnection: Good working knowledge of standard utility processes for interconnection approvals and grid code compliance.
• Engineering Calculus: Proficiency in energy modelling, standard electrical calculations (voltage drop, cable sizing), and basic structural/mechanical principles.
• Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
• Education: Degree in electrical engineering
