Job Title: Energy and Microgrid Control Technology

Location: Pisa, Italy

Type: Permanent

Our client are an international semiconductor and consumer electronics company.

The Role

Solution Design: Define and develop innovative plant control and microgrid solutions tailored to European market demands and customer pain points

Strategic Roadmapping: Partner with product teams to guide R&D, technology roadmaps, and next-generation product development.

Industry Leadership: Drive technical discussions with strategic European power partners, represent the company at industry events, and leverage emerging tech trends to maintain a competitive edge.

Must-Haves

Experience: 10+ years specializing in Power Plant Controllers (PPC), Micro Grid Controllers (MGCC), and Energy Management Systems (EMS).

Proven Track Record: Led R&D for products/solutions successfully deployed in multiple 100MW+ projects across Europe.

Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of European new energy delivery processes, power plant safety standards, and project implementation challenges.

Technical Proficiency: Strong command of IEC 61131 standards and tools, specifically Structured Text (ST) and Function Block Diagram (FBD) programming

Nice-to-Haves

Hands-on experience with Siemens or Schneider Electric microgrid hardware/software (including third-party device integration).

Background in power system software, power forecasting, power market analysis, or Virtual Power Plant (VPP) development.
