A leading company in Renewable Energy is seeking a Grid Project Manager to join their team in Milan. This role involves managing grid connection projects, ensuring compliance with company requirements, and building relationships with contractors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a BSc/MEng in Engineering, at least 3 years of relevant project management experience, fluency in Italian and English, and a strong background in renewable energy projects. We are seeking a Grid Project Manager to join a leading Renewables team in Milan. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of grid connection projects and make a tangible impact on renewable energy development in Italy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the connection process with grid operators and oversee technical and strategic aspects for the Development Team
• Support tender processes for grid interconnection works: define scope, evaluate responses, and select contractors
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Support contract preparation to ensure compliance with company requirements
• Coordinate internally with finance, legal, technical, and procurement teams during project assessment, due diligence, and implementation
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to optimize grid connection solutions
• Estimate costs and schedule activities for grid interconnection works
• Review quality control plans and inspection programs of EPC/subcontractors
• Conduct site surveys, audits, and participate in commissioning phases
• Manage and supervise engineering and construction activities, coordinating with Project Managers and Site Engineers

Requirements

• BSc/MEng in Civil or Electrical Engineering (MEng preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in grid works
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering
• Experience with HV substation construction and grid works with E-distribuzione (advantageous)
• Familiarity with the Italian Grid Connection Process (TICA)
• Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, batteries)
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD
• Previous working experience in Italy
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
