Job summary

Canonical is a pioneering tech firm behind Ubuntu, hiring a Regional HR Manager for EMEA to lead HR operations across multiple countries. This role focuses on scalable people processes, data-driven insights, and partnering with senior leaders to shape a resilient HR function in a remote-first environment.

Reporting to the Global Head of HR, you will drive talent development, performance management, and inclusion initiatives while collaborating with regional teams and travel for in-person events

Qualifications

• Must have HR experience leading regional initiatives in a technology business.
• Proven people management experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
• Comfort with remote-first environments and global collaboration.
• Ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
• Knowledge of employment law across EMEA.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Canonical's regional HR team.
• Deliver precise, compliant HR operations globally.
• Collaborate with the People team to harmonize processes across regions.
• Own talent development, succession planning, onboarding, culture and engagement initiatives.
• Partner with senior managers on performance, organizational design, rewards and workforce planning.
• Coach managers on employee relations across jurisdictions.
• Support training and development programs.
• Establish trusted partnerships with the business region.
• Drive DEI initiatives and global HR projects.
• Present Canonical's HR practices at events.
