Job summary

BCD Travel is hiring a Financial Controller/Junior Controller for a hybrid role based in Milan, Italy. The position combines remote work with 1 day per week in the office, supporting month-end closings, forecasts, and budgeting while providing financial insights to steer the business.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Economics or Finance and experience in financial control, with strong Excel, SAP FI/CO, BPC, BW knowledge, and fluency in English and Italian.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics or Finance (University/College) or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience as a financial or business controller.
• Ability to complete tasks independently and advise your manager on controlling activities.
• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO, SAP-BPC, SAP-BW or AS/400 is a strong benefit.
• Strong numeric and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Italian.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines; be a team player.
• BI systems knowledge for large database analyses.

Responsibilities

• Monthly analytical closing process for one country in EMEA.
• Preparation of data and analytics for business controlling reports.
• Financial planning, budgeting, and monthly rolling forecast.
• Support the business daily.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional workgroups and projects.
• Work on projects like aligning financial reporting between countries.
• Support in financial audits.
