DETAILS – Hospitality, Sports & Leisure oversees Golf Course operations and agronomic management for courses in Sicily, including the Costa Ragusa destination. The Golf Course Superintendent will maintain greens, fairways, bunkers, and related surfaces to world‑class standards and lead the turf team through construction to steady operation.

English fluency is required, Italian is an advantage. A technical degree in agronomy or related field and 3+ years on high‑quality courses are expected, with

Competenze

• Must have a technical diploma or degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Turfgrass Management, or a related field.
• Proven leadership and team management experience on quality golf courses.
• Fluency in English; Italian language is an advantage.

Mansioni

• Maintain all playing surfaces (greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, roughs) to the highest quality standards
• Implement and manage turf care programs, including fertilization, irrigation, and pest control
• Ensure efficient water use and environmentally responsible maintenance practices
• Support golf course construction, grow-in, and turf establishment phases
• Oversee irrigation installation, soil preparation, and agronomic planning during development
• Ensure smooth transition from construction to full operational maintenance
• Build, recruit, train, and lead the maintenance team from the ground up
• Define work procedures, schedules, and operational standards
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Oversee maintenance and operation of all course machinery and equipment
• Manage inventory of materials, chemicals, and maintenance supplies
• Support budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations
• Implement sustainable turf management practices aligned with environmental policies
• Monitor and adopt new technologies and modern agronomic techniques
• Work closely with the General Manager and management team on course conditions and operational needs
• Coordinate with golf operations to ensure optimal playing conditions and player experience
• Support procurement of machinery, irrigation systems, and agronomic inputs
