Job summary

ABYLSEN in Italy is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our automation team, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance of automated systems in intralogistics and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has a technical diploma in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, 5+ years on similar equipment, and solid knowledge of PLCs (Siemens or Allen-Bradley). Willingness to work shifts and provide on-call support is required.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of automated or industrial equipment.
• Desirable knowledge of PLC-based systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated electromechanical systems, including conveyors, sorters, lifts, and robotic handling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and control issues in coordination with automation and IT teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians during maintenance activities and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, maintenance standards, and documentation requirements.
• Liaise with OEMs, contractors, and system integrators when required.
