HPE Group is seeking an Electrification Testing Engineer to develop testing activities for electric machines and powertrains on test benches. The role ensures quality, robustness, reliability, and compliance with standards while supporting automotive, defense, and motorsport sectors.

You will collaborate with electrified systems teams to define testing protocols, review procedures, and improve testing efficiency.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Electrification Testing, E-Motor Testing or Electrified Systems Development.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AVL Concerto and ETAS INCA is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages.
• Strong understanding of electrified powertrain systems and their operation.
• Good knowledge of power electronics and signal conditioning/acquisition systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Excellent written and spoken Italian (C1) and English (B2/C1).

Position

Develop testing activities for electric machines and electrified powertrains on test benches, ensuring quality, robustness, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards and product development targets.

The role supports the development of systems for the Automotive, Defense, Motorsport, and other industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan testing activities for components and systems in collaboration with customers and Team Leader, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards, as well as the effective investigation of phenomena under experimental evaluation.
• Contribute to the development of testing equipment through technical and commercial assessments, proposals, and investigations.
• Monitor testing activities and prepare, or supervise the preparation of, detailed technical reports for management and customers.
• Collaborate with electrified systems design and development teams to define testing protocols, resolve technical issues related to products and processes, and periodically review testing procedures from a continuous improvement perspective.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
• Implement solutions aimed at increasing operational efficiency and testing performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures throughout all testing activities.
• Interface directly with end customers, when required, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and fostering positive technical and commercial relationships.

Requirements

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in an Electrification Testing Engineer, E-Motor Testing Engineer, or Electrified Systems Development role.
• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with AVL Concerto and ETAS INCA will be considered a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages.
• Strong understanding of electrified powertrain systems and their operation.
• Good knowledge of power electronics and signal conditioning/acquisition systems.
• Good understanding of testing facilities and laboratory infrastructures.
• Knowledge of automatic control systems, including control architecture and calibration/tuning methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Excellent written and spoken Italian (C1 level).
• Good written and spoken English (B2/C1 level).
