Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Lodi, Italy is seeking a Project Engineer to perform electrical design tasks on projects, ensuring cost-efficiency, safety and contract compliance. You will design electrical systems, develop LCC designs in Eplan/E3, and support suppliers, testing, installation and commissioning.

The role involves delivering technical documentation, assisting in proposals, and coordinating with project managers and the supply chain to meet budget and scope requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technical High School Diploma.
• Fluency in English and Italian (spoken & written).
• MS Office knowledge.
• Experience with Eplan / E3 / ECAD design tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical engineering solutions, including electrical drawings, LV cables routing and calculations according to specification.
• Develop electrical design of LCC in Eplan (or E3), customizing the design to customer specs.
• Provide technical support for LCC suppliers, testing, installation and commissioning activities.
• Prepare project documentation within one’s deliverables scope.
• Assist in preparing proposals (BOMs, estimated hours).
• Support Project Managers in issuing claims (scope changes, cost/time/risk).
• Create work plans and cost estimates within own area and ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Complete risk and opportunity assessments and report issues with recommendations.
• Interact with customers, suppliers and staff on technical issues.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to align technical requirements with suppliers.
