Job summary

PDF Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the R&D team and advance the Characterization Vehicle (CV) test-chip layout and verification. You will work with Cadence/Calibre environments, C++, Ruby and Rails, building layout automation and documentation tools.

The role emphasizes fast-paced, iterative, agile design cycles, cross-team collaboration, and delivering robust software for CV verification and test-program generation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 3+ years of Software Development experience.
• Fluency in Object-Oriented Programming (C++ preferred).
• Proficiency in an interpreted scripting language (Ruby preferred).
• Experience with UNIX/Linux systems and environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop CV-System components for layout and verification in CAD environments.
• Automate creation of layout, LVS/DRC verification and test program generation.
• Support DOE entry tools, in-house documentation and web-based docs (Ruby on Rails).
• Maintain and extend tools/scripts for EDA tools output summarization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced agile design cycle.
