Job summary

PDF Solutions, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer for its CV-System R&D team in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

You will develop layout and verification software, automate layout creation, and support in-house DOE tools within Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre, and related environments. You will work with C++, Ruby, and Qt in a UNIX/Linux stack, contribute to web-based docs with Ruby on Rails, and partner with multiple engineering groups to raise efficiency and quality of CV testing and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ElectricalEngineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of UNIX/Linux knowledge and operation.
• Minimum of 3 years of Software Development.
• Fluency and proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (C++).
• Proficiency in an interpreted scripting language (Ruby preferred).
• Excellent UNIX/Linux and English communication skills.
• Experience with EDA tools and fast-paced agile design cycles.
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Responsibilities

• Develop CV-system software for layout generation and verification.
• Automate layout creation, LVS/DRC, and test programs.
• Support CADENCE/Calibre toolchains and in-house DOE tools.
• Maintain web docs using Ruby on Rails; collaborate across teams.
