LJB & Co is seeking a Project Manager to lead the preconstruction phase for a flagship data centre project in Rome. The role focuses on planning, coordination, risk management, and early involvement with clients, design teams, and contractors.

The ideal candidate has 4–10 years of preconstruction experience on large data centre or similar projects and must be willing to travel to site as required. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive GBP salary and a full rotational package.

Competenze

• Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background.
• Must have 4-10 years' preconstruction experience on Data Centres or similar large scale construction projects.
• Must be able and willing to travel to and from site when required.

Mansioni

• Own the Preconstruction Programme.
• Drive the successful planning and coordination of preconstruction activities, including design development, permitting, early contractor involvement, and procurement strategies for complex data centre projects.
• Interface with Clients & Design Teams.
• Act as the primary point of contact during the preconstruction phase, facilitating clear communication between clients, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders to align design intent with budget and programme.
• Scope & Risk Management.
• Lead the identification and resolution of design, commercial, and logistical risks during preconstruction - ensuring clarity on scope and mitigating issues before breaking ground.
• Cost Planning & Value Engineering.
• Collaborate with estimating and commercial teams to prepare detailed cost plans, support value engineering exercises, and ensure budget alignment without compromising critical design or operational requirements.
• Set the Project Up for Delivery Success.
• Prepare comprehensive handover packages for the construction phase, ensuring all technical, contractual, and logistical elements are locked in - so the project team hits the ground running.
