Clear. is seeking a BMS Commissioning Engineer to lead the integration and testing of building management systems on large-scale data centre projects across Italy.

You will commission BMS/BC systems, coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams, and work directly with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure performance and safety standards are met. The role requires hands-on testing of BACnet/Modbus networks, fault-finding across DDC/PLC controls, and travel to data centre sites across

Competenze

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Experience with commissioning DDC, PLC or BMS control systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with data centre or critical infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Willingness to travel to data centre sites across Italy and wider Europe.
• Fluent Italian; English a plus.

Mansioni

• Commission BMS and building automation systems across large-scale data centre projects.
• Carry out point-to-point testing, functional testing and system commissioning.
• Test and commission HVAC control systems including AHUs, chillers, pumps, CRAC/CRAH units and related equipment.
• Configure and test BMS controllers, I/O, sensors, actuators and field devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, controls and communication issues.
• Complete functional performance testing per project specifications.
• Support IST and client witnessing activities.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with electrical and mechanical teams.
• Interface with PLCs, HVAC equipment and third-party systems.
• Test communications and integrations using BACnet and Modbus.
• Review BMS graphics, alarms, trends, sequences and control strategies.
• Produce commissioning records, test sheets and documentation.
• Identify defects and ensure issues are resolved before handover.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.
• Support final handover and provide technical assistance during defects period.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with safety procedures.
