Job summary

Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead and manage General Contractors across one or more data center sites near Milan.

The role focuses on civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning disciplines and requires strong contract administration capabilities. You will oversee safety, project quality, cost control, and timely turnover of facilities, with flexibility for travel and international assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in construction site management.
• 2+ years responsibility for management of construction contracts and contractors, including involvement in commercial contract administration and cost control processes of large, complex projects.
• Ability to operate in an environment conducted through English.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or professional certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be based from the MXP site construction offices and act as Amazon’s eyes and ears on the project.
• Travel to data centers, offices or vendor premises as required and potentially travel internationally.
• Manage General Contractors on one or more data center construction sites, including oversight of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls and commissioning disciplines.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure adherence to bar-raising safety standards with no tolerance for unsafe behaviors.
• Undertake strategic and tactical commercial management of construction contracts and ensure compliance of administration and cost controls.
• Review designs to create construction project scope for RFPs and variations and support negotiations with GC and procurement partners.
