Job summary

WeWorld is seeking a Country Representative to lead the country programme, reporting to the Head of Regional Unit. The role is based in the country and will be responsible for strategic direction, program quality, and compliance.

The successful candidate will represent WeWorld with donors, government authorities, UN agencies, partners, and key stakeholders, driving partnerships and fundraising while ensuring security and smooth operations of the country office.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management experience.
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders including donors and government authorities.
• Strategic thinking and ability to drive country-level program development.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for the country programme.
• Represent WeWorld with donors, authorities, UN agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead development and implementation of the country strategy.
• Drive fundraising and resource mobilization efforts.
• Ensure quality, impact, and compliance of all programmes and projects.
• Oversee security, safety, and operations of the country office.
• Supervise staff and promote a high-performing team.
• Ensure financial controls and donor compliance.
• Guide external communication, advocacy, and policy implementation.
• Promote knowledge management and continuous improvement.
