Deel is seeking a Country Finance Manager in Italy (Catania) to lead all financial activities, ensure compliant books, and support regulatory requirements in a global growth context.

You will drive month-end close improvements, payroll oversight, and tax reporting while collaborating with a distributed payroll ecosystem. Remote work flexibility and country-specific benefits are offered.

Competenze

• ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5+ years as an accountant in high-tech companies.
• Experience with payroll and ERP systems; Netsuite advantageous.
• Strong communication in English; local language knowledge beneficial.

Mansioni

• Oversee and develop all financial activities in the country, including accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting with improvements to period end closing focus
• Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies such as social security tax authorities, insurance, pension companies, and others
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany banking, customers, vendors, and accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Monitor day-to-day transactions, maintain up-to-date books, and prepare comprehensive financial and administrative reports as required
• Ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Social Security & others)

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to maintain compliant books in a global environment and support local regulatory requirements. You will drive improvements in month‑end close, payroll oversight, and tax reporting while collaborating with a distributed payroll ecosystem. • Oversee and develop all financial activities in the country, including accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting with improvements to period end closing focus
• Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies such as social security tax authorities, insurance, pension companies, and others
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany banking, customers, vendors, and accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Monitor day-to-day transactions, maintain up-to-date books, and prepare comprehensive financial and administrative reports as required
• Ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Social Security & others)
• Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations made by our local Payroll Manager, oversee payroll software selection and integration, and address any issues related to payroll information and reporting
• ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory
• Minimum of 5+ years as an accountant in high-tech companies
• Proficiency in managing Payroll ERP systems; Netsuite experience is advantageous
• Experience in a global environment with diverse financial regulations
• Strong Excel and office skills for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent verbal and written English; knowledge of local languages beneficial
